Dr Panicos Shangaris - Consultant in Obstetrics, Maternal and Fetal Medicine

Dr Panicos Shangaris is a highly skilled consultant with over 15 years’ experience. He specialises in all aspects of fetal medicine, pregnancy, high-risk pregnancy, prenatal diagnosis and preconception.

Outside of delivering private maternity care and specialised ultrasounds, Dr Shangaris holds the position of Maternal and Fetal Medicine Consultant at King’s College Hospital (KCH) and Senior Clinical Lecturer at King’s College London. He is also academic co-lead for the BRC DTP PhD programme.

Dr Shangaris graduated from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland in 2005 and pursued higher specialist training in London at renowned institutions such as University College London (UCL), the Royal Free London, and North Middlesex Hospitals. He also obtained a Master’s degree in Fetal Medicine and prenatal genetics and UCL with distinction. Dr Shangaris then completed his subspecialty training in Maternal and Fetal Medicine at St Thomas’ Hospital and KCH.

Dr Shangaris continues to actively contribute to maternal and fetal medicine research, leading on numerous publications in peer-reviewed journals. He is passionate about research and this is reflected in all areas of his clinical work, striving to deliver the best clinical outcomes for patients visiting Westminster Womens’ Clinic based on the latest medical evidence from around the world.

Dr Shangaris is a father himself and this insight is reflected through the well informed and supportive care he provides his patients throughout their journey.
